The biggest mobile crane in Russia is made of WELDOX.

Avtokran is the biggest Russian manufacturer of mobile cranes. The company is now following the example of other manufacturers by using WELDOX structural steels. In this case, Avtokran made very strict demands on the steels it was intending to order for its giant 100-tonne crane.

“A crane as massive as this had never been built in Russia before, and we were obliged to look abroad for a suitable steel. The demands were much higher than usual for us, but when we tested WELDOX 960, we realized that we had found the right material,” says Alexei Makarov, Purchasing Director at the NAMS Group, of which Avtokran is a member.
